usage: Meaning has shifted from 'long' to generally 'big'. There is no usual word for 'long'; depending on the context different words are used. A long object is still μακρο (or possibly ευρυ or πλατυ); a long time is τον σαρον χρονς, but this is somewhat fossilized and being supplanted by τον μο̨ρ χρονς.
